Mike Towers opened the Edinburgh office of McLaren Murdoch & Hamilton in December 1991 and has developed the practice to become a significant player on the Edinburgh property scene.
He is a fellow of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, and was Chairman of the RIAS Contracts and Appointments Committee for several years.
He was elected Chairman of the Scottish Building Contracts Committee in 2003 and was the SBCC representative on the board of the Joint Contracts Tribunal in London.
Mike contributes regularly on contracts to various publications and lectures throughout Scotland as part of the RIAS Continuing Professional Development programme.
He lectures on contracts at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh College of Art, the Duncan of Jordanstone College, Dundee and the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow.
In 2006, Mike was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
